About the artist: Tony Warrilow
A professional photographer for over twenty years Tony’s images achieve beauty not often presented as photographic finished art. His photographs allow the viewer aninsight into an environment that most of us have enjoyed at various times in our lives. Each image is a captured moment from our coastal regions and for each of us that lives within this “coastal culture” there will be an image that touches our emotions. The galleries’ body of work is an ongoing project and each new release will add to and not duplicate the existing variety.
As a personal artistic representation these images will provide an escape or reflection into your own association with the sea. As an artistic composition the final artwork will be a point of drama and /or beauty for your home or work place.
“My photographic work based on out coastal landscape has been close to a full time activity for the last two years. It has surprised me in many ways. After a lifetime of surfing I have found that since starting the project I am only now starting to “really see” the amazing environment where I spend my time. The scope of what I look at has expanded dramatically. Then there is the story that only the camera can tell. Moments snapped from a moving mass reveal details beyond what we can perceive with our eye. Look at the detail in the face of a forming wave or the spray of a backlit lip. Truly beautiful. To you the viewer I would like nothing better than for you to have one of my images inyour personal space and that each time you look at it, it conjures up emotions in what ever form is appropriate for you."
